Daniel Gagnon

Daniel Gagnon is a researcher at the Montreal Heart Institute and Associate Professor at the School of kinesiology and exercise science of Université de Montréal. He is the director of the Human Integrative Physiology Laboratory. His research program examines the physiological responses and adaptations to heat exposure and how they are affected by age and health status and the underlying physiological adaptations mediating the adverse (heatwaves) and beneficial (heat therapy) cardiovascular outcomes associated with heat exposure. He has published 78 peer-reviewed articles that have been cited 2319 times (Google Scholar h-index of 26). He holds a competitive salary award and has secured >2.6 M$ in funding as PI/Co-PI.
